Judy Sobeloff is a local writer and LMSW who has led creative writing and expressive arts activities for people of all ages and in a variety of settings, including libraries, schools, colleges, correctional facilities, sidewalks, arts festivals, and community centers. A teaching artist for the Idaho Commission on the Arts since 2005, she received an MFA in creative writing from the University of Washington and is a graduate of the yearlong Seattle-based Teaching Artists Training Lab, with a focus on delivering culturally responsive arts projects that foster inclusion and social and emotional wellbeing. In addition to having led Outward Bound courses and expressive arts-based childbirth classes, Judy recently completed a yearlong professional training program in expressive arts therapy. Some of her superpowers are disarming through humor and creating emotional safety.
